Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 10.20 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 8.66 crore), KCL Infra Proj(number of shares traded: 3.10 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.12 crore), Vikas Ecotech (number of shares traded: 1.82 crore), Reliance Comm(number of shares traded: 1.47 crore), NHPC(number of shares traded: 1.44 crore), Seacoast Shipping(number of shares traded: 1.03 crore), Empower India(number of shares traded: 0.93 crore) and Avance Tech(number of shares traded: 0.89 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 9.05 points down at 21708.9, while BSE Sensex was up 17.21 points at 71445.64 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent), ITC Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 3.45 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.32 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.83 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.59 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(down 2.18 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
