The San Francisco 49ers are gearing up for their second Super Bowl appearance in five seasons. Head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad is littered with big names and storylines headed into the big game, which makes placing prop bets even more exciting.
San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl player props: Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and more props for Chiefs vs. 49ers
Here are four San Francisco 49er prop bets we think are considering during the Super Bowl on Sunday:
Brock Purdy Super Bowl prop bets: Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-122 or better)
There’s never been a Mr. Irrelevant quite like 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. In his first full season as San Francisco’s starting quarterback, Purdy threw for 31 touchdowns, good for third-most in the league.
It helps that he’s got a plethora of Pro Bowl-level weapons at his disposal, too.
During the regular season, Purdy had nine games in which he threw for at least two scores. Four of those performances took place in Purdy’s final five games of the regular season.
Christian McCaffrey Super Bowl 58 props: To score 2+ touchdowns (+260 or better)
Scoring two touchdowns in a game isn’t a simple accomplishment, but Christian McCaffrey has the best odds of any player in the Super Bowl to do so. An incredible runner and a reliable option in the passing game, McCaffrey has seven games with at least two scores this season, including the playoffs.
It’s worth noting that in the last four Super Bowls, five players have scored at least two touchdowns.
The last running back to do so was Kansas City’s Damien Williams in 2020. He and James White are the only tailbacks to accomplish this feat in the Super Bowl in the last 20 years. McCaffrey’s dynamic play style gives him an edge here.
49ers Super Bowl 58 player props: George Kittle 50+ receiving yards (-102 or better)
If you like tight ends, Super Bowl 58 has you covered. George Kittle put together a 1,020-yard season this year, which ranked first among all players at his position.
In 2023, he compiled a handful of massive games. We think 50 yards is a safe option here, as Kittle hit this mark in 11 games, including the playoffs, this season. During one four-week stretch, Kittle put together games of 78, 149, 116 and 89 yards.
Recently, he surpassed 50 receiving yards in five of his last seven outings. In the Divisional Round against Green Bay, Kittle finished with four receptions, 81 yards and a score. He’s a fantastic safety net for Purdy.
Brandon Aiyuk Super Bowl 58 receiving props: Longest reception Over 24.5 yards (-115 or better)
This season, Brandon Aiyuk proved to be a big play waiting to happen. The wideout finished the regular season with 28 catches of 20 or more yards, which ranked third in the NFL.
That’s better than players such as Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown and A.J. Brown. He finished behind just CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill. Aiyuk also finished tied for fourth-most in 30+ yard catches.
Including the postseason, Aiyuk has 10 games this season in which he’s caught a pass longer than 24 yards.
