Neodocs, a health tech player in affordable smartphone-based test kits, has raised Rs 16.6 crore or USD 2 million in its seed funding round, led by Omidyar Network India, as per media reports.

Other notable investors include YCombinator, 9Unicorns, Gemba Capital, Titan Capital, as well as prominent angels such as Prashant Tandon and Gaurav Agarwal (1Mg), Rohit MA (Cloudnine), Kunal Shah (Cred), and more.

The infusion of funds aims to support Neodocs in expanding its market presence internationally, with plans to target regions including Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Founded by Nikunj Malpani, Anurag Meena, and Pratik Lodha, Neodocs initially introduced two urine-based test kits - The Kidney Care Kit and the UTI Care Kit, which eliminate the reliance on lab machines.

The Kidney Care Kit facilitates the measurement of urine albumin creatinine ratio (UACR) alongside 14 other parameters, while the UTI Care Kit screens for urinary tract infections using 10 parameters. Additionally, Neodocs is collaborating with pharmaceutical giants like Cipla, Eris, Sun Pharma, and others, along with government bodies in Maharashtra and Rajasthan, to digitize testing processes in remote areas.

The investment firm recently led funding rounds in Revfin and Sportvot, underscoring its continued commitment to supporting promising ventures in the Indian startup ecosystem.
