‘Essential Commodities Prices Soaring’: Cong releases ‘black paper’ against Modi govt

New Delhi: The Congress Party Thursday February 08, 2024 released a ‘black paper’ against the Narendra Modi government titled ’10 years of injustice’ or ’10 Saal Anyay Kaal – 2014-2024’.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge while releasing the ‘black paper’ accused the Modi government of derailing the economy and taking the country backward.

“Unemployment is rampant, states ruled by non-BJP parties are discriminated and essential commodities prices are soaring”, Kharge said while addressing the press.

“It has been a feature of this government to exaggerate its achievements to hide the glaring failures. We have released the black paper to expose this”, Kharge told the media.

The Congress party also released a number of banners highlighting India’s rank in Global Hunger Index, a comparison of diesel, petrol, LPG, mustard oil, atta, milk and prices of other essential commodities in before and after 2014 to target the economic policies of the Narendra Modi government.

The black paper released by the Congress also has crime record, rape case, data of farmers’ suicide in the last 10 years.

The Congress Party’s black paper against the Modi government has been released ahead of the ‘White Paper’ Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced to table in the Parliament.

Sitharaman said the government’s white paper will be to highlight the “mismanagement” done by those in power before 2014.

Countering the Congress’ Black Paper against his government, PM Modi equated it with a "kaala tika" which will ward off the evil eye.
