Meanwhile according to the information received from the officials, the rescue operation continued throughout the night at the incident site in Harda. 11 people lost their lives in the accident and more than 200 people were injured. The incident took place on tuesday in a firecracker unit located in Bairagarh area on Magardha Road, on the outskirts of Harda city, about 150 km from the state capital Bhopal.

Moreover Sub-divisional officer of police BS Maurya, posted at the district hospital of Harda, said on wednesday morning that he has a list of 217 people, out of which 11 have died. He said that among the injured, 73 people have been admitted to the district hospital. These include 51 factory employees and 22 people living near the blast site. Maurya said that 38 injured were referred to other cities for treatment, while 95 were discharged. He told that there is news of two people missing.
