‘Supreme court had made a mockery of democracy’

The supreme court says, "Is this how he conducts elections? This is a mockery of democracy. This is a murder of democracy. We are shocked. This man should be prosecuted. Is this the behavior of a returning officer?" An order was given by the supreme court through the Registrar General of punjab and haryana High court to preserve the entire records of the election process including ballot papers, videography and other materials.

Strong demonstration of NSUI in Chandigarh

In chandigarh on Wednesday, a strong demonstration was seen by the workers of National students Union of India, the student wing of Congress. NSUI workers tried to march to the bjp office but the police had barricaded them to stop them. When NSUI workers tried to move forward, the police used water cannon to disperse them and tried to chase them away. NSUI workers raised slogans against bjp and demanded arrest of presiding officer Anil Masih.
