collector deepak Saxena and Superintendent of police Aditya Pratap Singh on wednesday themselves inspected the manufacturing sites, warehouses and sales centers of firecrackers and explosive materials located in the district. During this, both the officers reached the firecracker market located in Kathunda, where 41 units (shops) sell firecrackers. During the investigation, no unit was found following the license conditions. Also, record maintenance was also not done properly.

'The conditions of the license should be followed'

After finding many shortcomings including lack of proper security measures, fire NOC and record maintenance, collector Saxena directed the concerned SDM to seal these firecracker shops. SDM Shivali Singh and his staff continued carrying out this action late at night. During investigation, collector deepak Saxena said that if the shopkeepers do not follow the conditions of the license, then the shops will not operate. Only those who are doing the right work will be able to operate the shop. He stressed that the conditions should be followed in letter and spirit, so that no untoward incident happens.
