The latest weather forecast with Carol Kirkwood

Dozens of schools in north Wales and northern England have closed ahead of heavy snow expected to hit this morning.

Two amber warnings for snow and ice came into force at 8am for north Wales and north-west Shropshire, and another comes in from midday in the Peak District and south Pennines.

Travel disruption is expected, the Met Office has said, warning it is "safer not to drive in these conditions".
