Pepper Garland
After living a wonderful life of 71 years, Pepper Lee Garland left this earth to be with Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 6. He was lovingly surrounded by his family and friends at his home.
Until they meet again, he leaves behind his wife (and love of his life) Brenda S. Garland; his son and best friend, Clinton Garland; and his daughters, Amy Hicks and Penney Cosner. He also leaves six grandchildren, Krista and Kayla Garland, Braeleigh Riggleman, Amelia Hicks, Brianna Cosner, and Tori Garland.
Garland was a notorious prankster and left behind countless wonderful memories for his family and friends. He retired from CSX Railroad and was also the owner of The Country Store in Springfield.
Garland was the finest trap shooter, billiards player, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved people, never met a stranger, and more than anything, he was the BEST husband and father anyone could ask for.
A private Celebration of Life for family will be held at a later date.
