Other states voting to elect state assembly include Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram. Polling in Mizoram happened on November 7 in single phase.

    Unlike previous elections, Mizoram will have a multi-front election. The mountainous border state witnesses a multi-front battle between the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), the opposition Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), and two national parties – the Congress and the BJP holding all 40 seats.Since Mizoram's independence in 1986, most elections have seen direct competition between the MNF, a militant force turned political party, and the Congress.However, since the 2018 elections, it has turned triangular, and the election war will be complex this time.The Congress and the MNF have alternated over the last 37 years.He oversaw India's second-least-populated state after Sikkim.With the establishment of the ZPM, led by former IPS officer Lalduhoma,He worked as a security officer for late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for many years.Elections in Mizoram became challenging in the three years following 1982.The Congress and the MNF are both involved.
