
The voting process commenced at 7 am, following extensive campaigning by major political parties, including the incumbent Congress and the BJP. However, polling for the Karanpur assembly constituency was adjourned due to the unfortunate demise of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
Voters, who began queuing up outside polling booths early in the morning, have the opportunity to cast their votes until 6 pm.
To ensure a peaceful and fair electoral process, robust security arrangements have been put in place. A total of 1,02,290 security personnel, including 69,114 police personnel, 32,876 Rajasthan Home Guard, Forest Guard, and RAC personnel, along with 700 companies of CAPF, have been deployed.

Despite efforts to persuade rebel candidates from both the BJP and Congress to withdraw their names, about 45 rebel candidates, including MLAs, former MLAs, and party officials, remain in the fray.
