AgenciesShares of L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.18 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.02 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Wipro Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.49 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.45 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(down 1.4 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.97 per cent down at 32055.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 7.3 points at 19794.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 47.77 points at 65970.04.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 ended in the green, while 30 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, JP Power and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Onelife Capital, New India Assurance, Compucom Soft, GIC and Lovable Lingerie hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Bohra Industries, Debock Sales & Mktg, Shaily Engg Pla, Karda Const and SEL Manufact hit their fresh 52-week lows.
