Getty ImagesBenchmark NSE Nifty closed 28.45 points up at 19811.85 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Bohra Industries, Rajesh Exports, Ester Ind, ASK Automotive and Mangalam Drugs, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 27 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 23 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, BPCL, NTPC, Cipla, Infosys and Power Grid were among top gainers during the day, while IndusInd Bank, Hindalco, Kotak Bank, Adani Ports SEZ and Adani Ent. ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 92.47 points up at 66023.24.
Traders piled up positions in Electric/Electronics, IT Enabled Services, Telecommunications, Irrigation & Allied Services and Consumer Durables sectors, while selling was witnessed in Agro Processing, Cables, Fertilisers, Construction and Metals - Non Ferrous sectors during the day.
