Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 09:59AM

Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores(up 2.94%), MOIL(up 2.93%), Oriental Trimex(up 2.07%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 2.04%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 1.72%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.32%), KIOCL(up 0.63%), 20 Microns(up 0.54%), Ashapura Minechem(up 0.43%) and Pokarna(up 0.20%) were among the top gainers.

Coal India(down 3.11%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(down 0.83%), Aro Granite Industries(down 0.51%) and NMDC Ltd(down 0.29%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 80.05 points up at 19774.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 249.48 points at 65904.63 at around 09:59AM.

Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 3.48%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.06%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.48%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.33%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.03%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.02%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.0%), UPL Ltd.(up 0.95%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.85%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.82%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 3.1%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.45%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.61%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.55%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.42%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.33%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.32%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.3%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.28%) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.28%) were trading in the red.
