No casualties have been reported but the luggage of passengers got burnt.

A massive fire broke out in a Darbhanga-bound express train in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah on Wednesday.

The fire broke out in a reservation coach of Darbhanga Clone Special (02570) near Saraibhupat Railway Station and later spread to two other coaches. A coach got burnt in the blaze.

No casualties have been reported but the luggage of passengers got burnt.

All the passengers got out of the train safely. Fire officials reached to spot to douse the blaze.

Earlier, a minor explosion was reported on the Bhagalpur-Jaynagar Intercity Express in which three people were injured.

Samastipur Railway Division DSP Naveen Kumar said, “Today at 1:30 pm, the Bhagalpur-Jaynagar Intercity Express arrived here on platform no. 5. After departing near the home signal of Samastipur, a blast happened in the general compartment. Due to this, three people were injured. Two people have been detained in Darbhanga GRP related to this.”
