Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 2.90%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.60%), Agro Phos(down 1.96%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.56%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 1.18%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 1.14%), G S F C(down 1.06%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.88%), Sikko Industries(down 0.83%) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.57%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 82.0 points down at 19443.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 325.58 points at 64933.87.
Coal India Ltd.(up 5.28%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.84%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.04%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.91%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 0.78%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.6%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.49%), NTPC Ltd.(up 0.47%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.42%) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 0.14%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.24%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.28%), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.05%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.04%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.94%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.93%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.88%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.83%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.81%) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.76%) closed in the red.
