Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.68% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.96 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 3.04 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.44 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.68 per cent at 661.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 61.5 points at 19464.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 238.36 points at 65021.09.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Power, JP Power, YES Bank, Infibeam Avenues and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Everest Kanto, Alpa Labs, SMC Global Secur, Dilip Buildcon and Trans & Rectif hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gangotri Text, Compuage Infocom, Penta Gold, SS Infrastructure and Bohra Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
