
A video that has been going viral on various social media platforms saw the Afghanistan player walking on the streets of Ahmedabad around 3 am. He silently kept money next to those sleeping before leaving the streets without making his presence known to others.
The clip shared on social media has garnered over 3.4 million views. The video was originally shared by Love Shah on Instagram and then reposted by KKR.
Kolkata Knight Riders, Gurbaz's IPL team also rushed to social media to share the opening batsman actions online by calling from 'Afghanistan see aaya ek farishta.'
"RJ Love Shah spotted Rahmanullah Gurbaz near his home in Ahmedabad, quietly spreading some love ahead of Diwali, hours before the Afghanistan team returned home after their heartwarming World Cup journey ended on Friday night," said KKR on social media platform 'X.'
"From working tirelessly to raise money for the victims of the Herat Earthquake in Afghanistan earlier this month, to this act of kindness in a foreign land - you inspire us all. God bless you, jaani," added KKR on its post for Gurbaz.
Afghanistan ended their stint with ICC World Cup after losing to Australia in Ahmedabad. While skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi (282) has the most runs for Afghanistan at the tournament, Gurbaz is not too far away with a total of 234 runs at an average of 33.42.
