US senator from the Democratic Party Elizabeth Warren was confronted by a woman while she was dining at a restaurant in Cambridge. The woman introduced herself to Warren by saying that she is a constituent of her and a refugee from Gaza.
Warren is a senator from Massachusetts and has been serving from there for almost a decade.

The video of the interaction between the woman and the senator went viral. The woman in the video pressed Warren to call for a ceasefire, pointing out that she is not doing enough for a ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
Warren is the member of the Democratic Caucus of the United States Senate which is responsible for communicating the party’s message to all of its members under a single banner as it is a central organisation front for all the Democrats serving in the Senate.
“(I am) a refugee from Gaza and a constituent of yours,” the woman says. “It’s nice to meet you, I’m having dinner,” Warren responds. The woman acknowledges but goes on with her plea.
“Sixty-eight members of my family were killed over the last three weeks. And I just want to know how many more have to die before you’re going to call for a ceasefire. How many more of my family has to die for you to call for a ceasefire?” the woman pressed further.
“I just don’t know how much more I have to say for you to call for a ceasefire. People are calling your office every day asking for a ceasefire and you are refusing to call for a ceasefire,” she further added.
A man, who is not seen, intervenes and says that this may not be the right place to have the discussion. The video was shared by the left-leaning Jewish Voice for Peace’s Boston Chapter. Boston is also the capital Massachusetts.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed the calls for a ceasefire as the death toll in Gaza is about to cross the grim milestone of 10,000, which includes mostly civilians consisting of women and children.
Netanyahu says the onus of protecting the lives of civilians lie with Hamas, the terrorist group that rules Gaza Strip and which the Israeli Prime Minister has vowed to destroy to retaliate against the October 7 attacks that killed over 1,200 Israelis.
