GE Power India Limited(down 3.64%), Reliance Power(down 3.30%), Hitachi Energy India(down 2.36%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 1.39%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 0.94%), Orient Green Power Company(down 0.86%), Gujarat Industries Power(down 0.75%), Inox wind(down 0.52%), JSW Energy(down 0.52%) and NLC India(down 0.50%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 30.05 points up at 19425.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 72.48 points at 64904.68.
NTPC Ltd.(up 2.01%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.66%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.26%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.09%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.97%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.86%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.86%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 0.78%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.71%) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 0.64%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.16%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.8%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.95%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.83%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.65%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.6%), UPL Ltd.(down 0.59%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.56%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.49%) and Infosys Ltd.(down 0.43%) closed in the red.
