Earlier in the day, Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Chandrashekar Rao, along with his son and minister KT Rama Rao submitted their nomination papers for the upcoming state assembly elections on November 30.
After filing the nominations, KTR will participating in a road show in the Armor when the incident happened. KCR, who has been leading the party's campaign, criticized the Congress party, stating that they had ruled the state for 50 years and had done great injustice to Telangana.

Telangana will hold its assembly elections on November 30, along with the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh (second phase), Rajasthan, and Mizoram. The counting of votes will take place on December 3 in all these states.
In the previous Assembly election in 2018, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) won 88 out of 119 seats, securing 47.4% of the total vote share. The Congress party secured 19 seats. The upcoming elections in Telangana are expected to be a three-way contest between the BJP, BRS, and Congress.
