Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: JP Power(number of shares traded: 35.96 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 9.28 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 8.80 crore), FCS Software(number of shares traded: 7.50 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 4.95 crore), JP Associates(number of shares traded: 4.91 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 4.82 crore), Zomato(number of shares traded: 4.59 crore), Godha Cabcon & Insul(number of shares traded: 3.99 crore) and Bajaj Hindusthan Su(number of shares traded: 3.91 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:34AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 36.4 points down at 19375.35, while BSE Sensex was down 173.76 points at 64784.93 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.70 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.18 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.70 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
