On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 4.62 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.95 per cent up at 583.0.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 190.0 points at 19047.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 634.65 points at 63782.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 ended in the green, while 7 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IOB, PNB, JP Power and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Cupid Ltd, Hind Rectifiers, Swan Energy, AGC Networks and Dynacons Sys hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while BCL Industries, Talbros Auto, Sterlite Tech, Godha Cabcon & Insul and Nakoda Group Of Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows.
