A video of an owner and his corgi's DIY costume has delighted thousands of Reddit users.
Bryan Reisberg, 35, spent two weeks making a King Kong-inspired costume that wouldn't be complete without his dog Maxine, 7.
Reisberg told Newsweek: "Every year, we go hard for Halloween, and we always think of creative costumes that include Maxine on my back."

Reisberg shared a video of him and his spouse assembling the outfit on Reddit on Tuesday, October 24. The couple can be seen creating a building out of a big cardboard box and dressing Maxine and Reisberg in a handmade fur outfit.
The post titled, "My dog and I went overboard for our Halloween costume this year..." has racked up 52,500 upvotes.

In previous years, Reisberg has dressed up as the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz and Maxine was a flying monkey on his back. The corgi has also dressed up as Harry Potter, while his owner was a broomstick.
This year, the pair have taken their creativity to a new level as Reisberg is the iconic Empire State Building and his canine can be seen hugging onto the building.
To achieve this, the owners attached black faux-fur sleeves onto a backpack so Reisberg can put his arms through it. But they will look like Maxine's because the dog is wearing a matching fur hood as he stands in his very own backpack.
The duo are going all out with their costumes, but they have no intentions of stepping outdoors in them.
Reisberg told Newsweek: "Our Halloween plans are to hang out at home, watch scary movies and eat lots of candy."
It is important for owners to be aware of their dog's mental well-being during the spooky season. It may be fun and games dressing up with them, but some dogs can find the holiday to be scary.
An American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) veterinary expert has recently provided safety tips for owners this Halloween.
Dr. Lori Bierbrier, DVM, senior medical director, ASPCA Community Medicine, told Newsweek that owners should consider standing outside to greet trick-or-treaters to avoid the door constantly knocking. They should also keep all sweet treats out of a dog's reach. Bierbrier gave other tips to ensure pets enjoy the holiday as much as humans.
The internet can't get enough of the duo's costume, with one writing: "Fantastic!!!You guys are the winners."
"Your dog is a bad influence on you," commented one user. "Doggie Kong!!!" wrote another.
