    Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

    NEW DELHI: Shares of Somi Conveyor, Premier Poly, Kapston Facilities, Sonata Software and Sical Logistics, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 264.9 points down at 18857.25 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

    However, stocks such as Godha Cabcon & Insul, VL E-Governance & IT, MT Educare, Speciality Rest and Netweb Technologies, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

    Overall, 5 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 45 closed in the red.

    In the Nifty 50 index, Axis Bank, ITC, HCL Tech, Adani Ports SEZ and IndusInd Bank were among top gainers during the day, while M&M, Bajaj Finance, UPL, Asian Paints and Bajaj Finserv ended in the red.

    The BSE Sensex closed 900.91 points down at 63148.15.

    Traders piled up positions in Learning & Education, Telecommunications, Aquaculture, Miscellaneous and IT - Hardware sectors, while selling was witnessed in Fertilisers, Construction, Trading, Building Materials and Plastics sectors during the day.
