NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Thursday.
Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 2.48 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 0.2 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.11 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.02 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.35 per cent down at 605.9.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 46.4 points at 19624.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 247.78 points at 65629.24.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 ended in the green, while 34 closed in the red.
Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, NBCC , Suzlon Energy and IRB Infra Dev. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Aban Offshore, Shakti Pumps, GKW Ltd, DB(Intl)Stock and BPL Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gensol Engg, Delta Corp, Winsome Yarns, Tarsons Products and V Mart Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows.
