Dangee Dums(down 4.61%), Jyothy Labs(down 3.43%), Nakoda Group(down 2.50%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 2.16%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.34%), Dabur India(down 1.16%), Heritage Foods(down 1.00%), Umang Dairies(down 0.91%), Bikaji Foods International(down 0.88%) and Adani Wilmar(down 0.86%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 140.4 points down at 19671.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 551.07 points at 65877.02.
Cipla Ltd.(up 3.16%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.4%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.95%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.46%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.59%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.49%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.37%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.35%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.15%) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.14%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.79%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.77%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.6%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.5%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.39%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.33%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.32%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.26%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.12%) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.08%) closed in the red.
