The NSE Nifty50 index ended 79.75 points up at 19811.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 261.16 points at 66428.09.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.14%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.01%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.97%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.86%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.73%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.27%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.24%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.09%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.02%) and ITC Ltd.(up 1.0%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
