I enjoyed your deeper dive into the IHIT issue yet I am still left scratching my head on this one. It must be emphasized that Invesco has a lot of assets under management and while your arguments are valid, the magnitude of the NAV decline cannot be explained with those arguments alone. For example, Invesco could have sold many of the assets to their other funds which is a common practice and an advantage to having a large asset base. Honestly, I can only imagine incredible ineptitude or worse, fraudulent activity as the likely explanation for such a failure from such a firm. I would urge other owners of IHIT to contact Invesco and express their concerns and perhaps request compensation for the exaggerated loss incurred over the last several months. It is important that investors like yourself keep this unusual performance of the Invesco IHIT fund in the spotlight. If nothing else, it is a strong warning to avoid Invesco Term funds in the future.
