Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Friday at 11:20AM

Dangee Dums(up 13.16%), ADF Foods(up 7.78%), Future Consumer(up 6.25%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 4.89%), Parag Milk(up 2.37%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.01%), Bajaj Consumer(up 1.45%), Dodla Dairy(up 1.08%), Jyothy Labs(up 1.03%) and Gillette India(up 0.92%) were among the top gainers.

Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 1.64%), Sheetal Cool Products(down 1.13%), Varun Beverages(down 0.77%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.70%), Dabur India(down 0.66%), Prataap Snacks(down 0.65%), Britannia Industries(down 0.49%), Marico(down 0.33%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 0.31%) and Emami(down 0.29%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 106.4 points down at 19687.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 377.67 points at 66030.72 at around 11:20AM.

Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.03%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.86%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.35%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.89%), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.75%), Coal India Ltd.(up 0.73%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.51%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.49%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.4%) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.39%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.7%), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.52%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.34%), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.72%), State Bank of India(down 1.71%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.12%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.0%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.92%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.83%) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.82%) were trading in the red.
