This grim event bears unfortunate similarities to another recent tragedy in Delhi, where a 20-year-old woman met a similar fate in the Kanjhawala area during a hit-and-run incident on New Year's day.

The police on Wednesday reported a tragic incident in southwest Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area. A 43-year-old taxi driver, identified as Bijender from Faridabad, lost his life while bravely resisting a carjacking attempt.

He was dragged for several meters under his own vehicle. A distressing video capturing the incident has rapidly circulated on social media.

Authorities received a call about the body around 11:30 pm on Tuesday, near the NH-8 service road in Vasant Kunj North. A murder case has been registered, with investigators suspecting a robbery gone awry as the motive. However, they are diligently working to reconstruct the sequence of events.
