In what seems like a scene from a movie, personnel of the Israeli police shot two ‘armed terrorists’ amid ongoing gunbattle with the Palestinian militancy group Hamas. Israel is currently reeling under a deadly attack by Hamas who stormed the border fence under a barrage of rocket fire on Saturday morning.

In a video of a helmet cam recording shared by Israeli police on X (formally Twitter), a cop, riding a bike, can be seen pulling out his gun and shooting at men in a moving vehicle, allegedly carrying Palestinian operatives.

According to the Israeli police, the incident took place on an empty road outside Netviot, a city near Gaza, where the cops are hunting down Hamas operatives amid a raging war.

In the video, a cop car can be seen overtaking the moving vehicle as another policeman on a bike shot at the occupants sitting inside. As the car stopped, cops continued firing multiple rounds at the occupants.

“Police and Border Police officers heroically neutralized two armed terrorists outside of Netivot on Saturday. We will continue working on the front lines to defend our civilians from terror,” police said in a post on X.

Meanwhile, the army on Tuesday said around 1,500 bodies of Hamas militants were found in Israel around the Gaza Strip as it pummelled the Palestinian enclave with air strikes.

Israel already imposed a total siege on the Gaza Strip on Monday, cutting off food, water and electricity supplies, and sparking fears of that an already dire humanitarian situation will swiftly deteriorate.
