The third round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship was suspended on Saturday, October 7, without a single stroke being played due to heavy rainfall across Scotland.

Players were scheduled to tee off for the third round on Saturday at 4 am ET across the three golf courses at St. Andrews. The DP World Tour had initially announced a one-hour delay in tee times. However, as the weather conditions did not improve, the day concluded without any holes being played.

The DP World Tour wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

"Saturday's play has been abandoned. Round three will begin at 09:00 local time on Sunday morning."

Matt Fitzpatrick is currently leading the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship with a one-stroke lead. He shot 8-under 64 in the second round to aggregate at 13-under after 36 holes.

Fitzpatrick is paired with Irishman Padraig Harrington for the third round. The duo will tee off at St. Andrews on Sunday, October 8, from the first tee at 5:39 am ET.
