Indian Navy's quest for third Aircraft Carrier: Navy Chief says 'we have moved a case for INS Vikrant'
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar revealed the Indian Navy’s plans for the third aircraft carrier. Speaking to ANI, Admiral R Hari Kumar said, “We actually are moving a case for the follow on of this Vikrant. Primarily, the Navy envisages three operational carriers. So, over a period of time in building Vikrant, considerable expertise and skill have been developed in the coaching shipyard. Building an aircraft carrier is not a small thing. Therefore, we have moved a case for the third aircraft carrier. It is a repeat order of Vikrant.”
