Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 2.99%), Tata Power Company(down 1.84%), Reliance Power(down 1.82%), NTPC(down 1.80%), JSW Energy(down 1.72%), Torrent Power(down 1.51%), SJVN(down 1.45%), Karma Energy(down 1.32%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.05%) and CESC(down 0.93%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 135.65 points down at 19393.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 453.91 points at 65058.19 at around 10:04AM.
Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.65%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 0.84%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 0.61%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.43%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.33%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.25%) and ITC Ltd.(up 0.1%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
