MAGADHSUGAR(down 4.52%), DCM Shriram Industries(down 3.37%), Shree Renuka Sugars(down 1.75%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(down 1.64%), KCP Sugar & Industries(down 1.52%), EID Parry(down 1.40%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 1.36%), Balrampur Chini Mills(down 1.23%), AVADHSUGAR(down 1.19%) and Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 1.11%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 92.65 points down at 19436.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 286.06 points at 65226.04.
Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 3.25%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 3.0%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.57%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.47%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.42%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.82%), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.72%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.68%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.09%) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.06%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 4.37%), State Bank of India(down 2.76%), NTPC Ltd.(down 2.5%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.37%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.21%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.1%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 2.09%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.95%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.82%) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.77%) closed in the red.
