Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 2.20%), Aro Granite Industries(down 2.05%), MOIL(down 1.82%), Oriental Trimex(down 1.38%) and Coal India(down 1.12%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 109.55 points down at 19528.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 316.31 points at 65512.1.
Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.0%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.64%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.5%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.35%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.75%), State Bank of India(up 0.73%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.6%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.45%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.41%) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.31%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 3.77%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.77%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.57%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 2.48%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.24%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.77%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.54%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.51%), UPL Ltd.(down 1.5%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.48%) closed in the red.
