Sikko Industries(down 1.49%), KRISHANA(down 1.03%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.00%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.58%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.28%) and Paradeep Phosphates(down 0.07%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 114.75 points up at 19638.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 320.09 points at 65828.41.
Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 5.52%), NTPC Ltd.(up 3.58%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.93%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.9%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.73%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.62%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.34%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.34%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.32%) and Cipla Ltd.(up 1.89%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.47%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.04%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.57%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.54%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.49%), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.29%), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.27%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.26%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.23%) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.13%) closed in the red.
