On the other hand, Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.73 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.76 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(down 1.7 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 1.62 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 0.93 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.97 per cent down at 570.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 192.9 points at 19523.55, while the BSE Sensex stood down 610.37 points at 65508.32.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 6 ended in the green, while 44 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IOB, PNB, JP Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Bedmutha Ind, Quick Heal Tech, Mazda Ltd, MCX India and Pilani Invest hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while HAL, Sahaj Fashions, Jiwanram Sheoduttrai, Nuvama Wealth Manage and FutureLifestyleFash hit their fresh 52-week lows.
