Summary

  • The goal of creating a car that can drive itself as safely as a human driver is gaining feasibility after years of being considered unlikely.
  • Tesla is using AI principles and its "Dojo" ultra-powerful computing system to develop a self-driving system that learns from human examples.
  • Other companies, such as GM and Google, also are working on self-driving technology, but the systems are currently too expensive for wide-scale adoption.
  • A Tesla breakthrough likely would result in price runup.

I'll start paying attention when the coast to coast summons demo promised for 2017 is done.

If I remember correctly, the bears back then were saying FSD won't happen till 2025 at the soonest. It is looking like they are going to be right...

Tesla doesn't have an "AI operated self-driving system"...

at least not one that works!

Just another shiny object to distract investors as rates spike and valuation multiples start to compress.

Tesla stock is worth < $100.

Can’t believe some people are in such denial. This is coming and at scale, which Waymo, and Cruise cannot do. If you are uneducated on the subject, you should. To blindly say that FSD is fraud to keep the the stock up, is uninformed, disingenuous, or Dan O’Dowd.

Yes, it's coming "this year". Musk's "sucessful drive" had multiple interventions in just a few hours on roads with good lines in broad daylight. This crap is not even close.

@sr1952 it had only one intervention. Other than that it self drove perfectly. So very close to happening and definitely not crap

@sr1952 FSD beta just drove me to the grocery store, bank, work, restaurant, and back home today with zero interventions. This is becoming common.

"This crap is not even close."No one else is close to the revenues generated by Tesla driver assistance software.

How many frauds will be pushed to keep stock up? Robotaxis, supercomputers parked will be used for home computing, neural network data, fsd, battery swap, robotaxis, roadsters, senis, cybertruck, model 2, factories in India and another 10countries, now robot that needs stretchers. 😂😂😂😂

No fraud! My neighbor has FSD and loves it!

@Gordonr ask him a bet that he sits with you and drive 100miles without intervention and he pay $5000 if it doesn’t and vice versa. I am owner of fud and tesla and if you are near me I can put challenge. This fake fad does phanton braking, runs to head on traffic jumping yellow like on one lane roads, stops in middle of road, turns if fsd with no warning endless fud and top you risk your life as a genuine pig test paid customer. None of shareholder tesla fad owners friends of mine accepted bet. One who accepted waiting for hw20 😂.

Being as I've almost gotten smashed into twice in the past month at the roundabout by house by apparently crack-addled Tesla drivers, I'm going with AI self driving being available about the Twelfth of Never.

Your wrong, as long as they can keep pumping out articles about how close fsd is(by mentioning dojo a few times) the stock will continue to rise.
