The NSE Nifty50 index ended 9.85 points down at 19664.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 78.22 points at 65945.47.
Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.52%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.0%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.62%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.27%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.21%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.17%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 0.93%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.67%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.65%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 0.64%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.36%), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.33%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.31%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.13%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.97%), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.91%), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.91%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.85%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.79%) and Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.65%) closed in the red.
