Asian Games 2023: Medal Tally, Schedule, Results, Date, Venues & More
India have enjoyed tremendous success in shooting events at the Asian Games over the years. Raja Randhir Singh was the first Indian shooter to taste success at the Asiad, securing a silver in the Men’s Trap at the 1974 Tehran Games. Since then, India have so far claimed a total of 58 Asian Games medals in shooting which include nine gold medals.
At the previous Jakarta Games in 2018, India finished third in the shooting medal tally with nine medals. The Indian contingent was only behind China and South Korea in the final standings. Rani Sarnobat scripted history by becoming the first female shooter from India to bag an Asian Games gold. She triumphed in the Women’s 25m Pistol event.
