A major fire broke out at the Heera Panna Mall in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari West on Friday. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the incident took place at around 3:10 pm following which around 14 people were rescued by a team of fire brigade .

No injuries have been reported. As huge smoke was seen coming out from the building, around 25 fire brigade vehicles including 12 fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the fire. The Mumbai Fire Brigade and the city police was also present at the spot.
As per the Mumbai fire brigade, 5 people were stranded inside the gym and were rescued from terrace, 2 people were rescued using a ladder and 6 people were rescued through the staircase.
