Two new long-awaited European Commission regulations have gone into effect.

  1. The Digital Markets Act [DMA] seeks to regulate “gatekeepers” with special attention to those that operate “two-sided” online marketplaces. Two-sided means that they act as a middleman between seller and customer. There are six gatekeepers.
