According to police, traffic restrictions will be in place in different parts of the city during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations starting from September 19

Mumbai Police on Monday announced traffic arrangements put in place to avoid congestion on roads during Ganeshotsav celebrations from September 19-29. More than 11,000 police personnel will be deployed in the city during the festival.

According to police, traffic restrictions will be in place in different parts of the city during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations starting from September 19. However, there will be no curbs on vehicles supplying essential commodities.

“To avoid traffic congestion during Ganeshotsav celebrations during September 19th to 29th, following traffic arrangements have been done in Mumbai City. Citizens are requested to follow the revised traffic arrangements," Mumbai police wrote in an X (formerly Twitter) post.
