PM Modi inaugurated the newly extended Delhi airport metro line.

After inaugurating the airport line extension, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a ride in the metro and interacted with people on the way.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25 near ‘YashoBhoomi’.

Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh wished the prime minister and called him the “successful and hard-working Prime Minister of India.”

“He has not only given a new identity to India but has also increased its prestige in the entire world,” Rajnath said.

“A rare combination of leadership, sensitivity and hard work is seen in Modi ji,” Union Home Minister Amit Shah said as he wished PM Modi.

“Narendra Modi Ji has changed the scale and size of the country’s thinking, due to which whether it is the making of Corona vaccine or the success of Chandrayaan-3, today our tricolor is flying proudly all over the world,” Shah posted on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 73 on Sunday, and leaders from across the nation extend their wishes to him.

President Droupadi Murmu wished PM Modi and wished for a “far-reaching vision and strong leadership” under him. Taking to X (formally Twitter), she said, “I wish that with your far-reaching vision and strong leadership, you pave the way for the overall development of India in the ‘Amrit Kaal’. I pray to God that you always remain healthy and happy and continue to benefit the countrymen with your amazing leadership.”

PM Modi will also dedicate the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25 near ‘YashoBhoomi’.

The Grand Ballroom at the Yashbhoomi has a unique petal ceiling and can host around 2,500 guests. It also has an extended open area that can seat up to 500 people.

The 13 meeting rooms that are spread across eight floors are envisaged to hold a variety of meetings of different scales.

The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory ahead of the inauguration of the India International Convention & Expo Centre (IICEC) or ‘Yashobhoomi’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi’s Dwarka on Sunday.

Delhi Traffic Police said the route from National Highway-48 to Nirmal Dham Nala (UER II) will be affected during the whole day.

Built across more than 73,000 square metres of area, the Convention Centre comprises 15 convention rooms including the Main Auditorium, the Grand Ballroom and 13 meeting rooms with a total capacity of holding 11,000 delegates. It has the largest LED media facade in the country.

With a total project area of over 8.9 lakh square metres and a total built-up area of more than 1.8 lakh square metres, ‘YashoBhoomi’ will find its place among the world’s largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities.

Taking to X (formally Twitter), PM Modi said, “I am confident this will be a very sought after destination for conferences and meetings. It will draw delegates from all around the world.”

“You all will also be happy to know that Yashobhoomi is also going to be synonymous with sustainability. It has a modern wastewater treatment system, there are provisions for rainwater harvesting and the complex has received Platinum certification from Indian Green Building Council. A new Metro station, ‘Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25’ will also be inaugurated thus linking this iconic venue with the Delhi Metro Airport Express,” he added.

PM Modi will inaugurate Phase 1 of the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), also known as ‘Yashobhoomi’ on Sunday.
