YashoBhoomi Inauguration LIVE Updates: Major events are lined up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 73rd birthday. PM Modi is set to inaugurate India International Convention Expo Centre (IICC) called ‘YashoBhoomi’ in Delhi’s Dwarka. He will also be inaugurating the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25 near ‘YashoBhoomi’. Heavy traffic restrictions and security arrangements are in place ahead of the inauguration. Delhi Traffic Police said the route from NH-48 to Nirmal Dham Nala (UER II) will be affected during the whole day.

Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh wished the prime minister and called him the “successful and hard-working Prime Minister of India.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 73 on Sunday, and leaders from across the nation extend their wishes to him.

Delhi Metro will also increase the operational speed of Metro trains on the Airport Express Line from 90 to 120 km/hr reducing the travel time.
The total journey from New Delhi to YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 will take about 21 minutes. The centre is located 10 km away from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
PM Modi will also dedicate the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25 near ‘YashoBhoomi’.
The Grand Ballroom at the Yashbhoomi has a unique petal ceiling and can host around 2,500 guests. It also has an extended open area that can seat up to 500 people.
The 13 meeting rooms that are spread across eight floors are envisaged to hold a variety of meetings of different scales.

As Delhi police issues advisory, here are alternate routes to take Instead
🔺For those travelling from NH-8 to Najafgarh: Utilise Bijwasan Najafgarh road. 🔺If coming via NH-48 from Najafgarh/Dwarka: Take a left turn at Dhuldiras Chowk towards Dwarka Sector-23 and access road No.224. 🔺Commuters headed from Dwarka to Gurugram: Use Dhulsiras Road leading to Bamnoli Village, and then take Najafgarh Bijwasan road. 🔺Residents of Dwarka sub-city and west Delhi: Can take the Palam flyover to reach their intended destinations.

Built across more than 73,000 square metres of area, the Convention Centre comprises 15 convention rooms including the Main Auditorium, the Grand Ballroom and 13 meeting rooms with a total capacity of holding 11,000 delegates. It has the largest LED media facade in the country.
With a total project area of over 8.9 lakh square metres and a total built-up area of more than 1.8 lakh square metres, ‘YashoBhoomi’ will find its place among the world’s largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities.
Taking to X (formally Twitter), PM Modi said, “I am confident this will be a very sought after destination for conferences and meetings. It will draw delegates from all around the world.”
“You all will also be happy to know that Yashobhoomi is also going to be synonymous with sustainability. It has a modern wastewater treatment system, there are provisions for rainwater harvesting and the complex has received Platinum certification from Indian Green Building Council. A new Metro station, ‘Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25’ will also be inaugurated thus linking this iconic venue with the Delhi Metro Airport Express,” he added.
