    Sensex rallies for 11th straight session, logs longest winning run since 2007

    Hi everyone, this is Akash Majumder from ET Markets. Welcome to ET Market Watch. Let's take a look at today's highlights

    Sensex, Nifty settled at record highs on Friday. Rallying for the 11th straight session, Sensex gained 0.47% to close at 67,838.63. This was its longest daily winning run in 16 years. Nifty50, on the other hand, rose 0.44% to settle at 20,192.35.

    From the Sensex pack, Bharti Airtel was the biggest gainer rising 2.37%, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, HDFC Bank, Wipro.

    Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finserv and NTPC were among the laggards.

    In stock specific action, auto stocks climbed 1.58% to a record high, powered by a 5.9% jump in Bajaj Auto after BofA Global Research upgraded the stock to "buy" from "neutral".

    On the IPO front, shares of Kahan Packaging have delivered 100% returns to investors on debut. The stock listed at a 90% premium of Rs 152, against an issue price of Rs 80.

    Also, Vaibhav Jewellers has set a price band of Rs 204-215 for its IPO, which opens on September 22.
