In the Nifty index, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 5.90 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
