India is a nation of religious beliefs. The devotees go to temples to seek blessings from their god. There are uncountable temples in India. Among many, there are few temples in India which are widely known for their history and record thousands of devotees every day. One of them is Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple in India. It is located near Malur Tal in the Kolar district of Karnataka. People come to this temple for his blessings to lead a happy life. In the backdrop of the last Saturday of the month of Shravan i.e., August 26, devotees thronged to Kolar for the darshan of Lord Tirupati. According to media reports, the followers of lord Tirupati started arriving at the temple at 4:00 a.m.
More than 30 thousand devotees were seen waiting outside and inside the temple for the darshan. People were standing in long queues, waiting for their turn to stand before the idol of the god Tirupati. Due to many people visiting the temple at the same time, the temple authorities arranged a special darshan. In this, the devotees have to pay Rs 100 and then they will get access to the special entry. They will face less crowd as compared to the people who don’t gain access to special entry.
Devotees arrive from different states such as Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh for the darshan of lord Tirupati. Venkateshwara god is decorated with special flowers for the attendance of more than one and a half lakh devotees who are expected to reach the temple.
Due to the large crowd, police made tight security to prevent any untoward incident. A few months ago, Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh recorded an attendance of 92,328 pilgrims who were granted a glimpse of Lord Venkateshwara. It has marked the highest number of devotees in a single day at the temple over the past four years. The offering made by the devotees reached a substantial amount of Rs 4.2 crore.
