MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.6 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.43 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.23 per cent at 32374.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.45 points at 19742.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 70.95 points at 66336.51.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, YES Bank and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Trans & Rectif, Mazagon Dock Ship, Graphite India, Usha Martin and Bombay Burmah hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Bombay Metrics Suppl, FutureLifestyleFash, TCNS Clothing and GNA Axles hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
